Granby Lake was built in the 1940's for a reservoir for the front range Greeley area. Granby Lake is routinely stocked with rainbow trout, brown trout, and kokanee salmon and has a growing population of lake trout (Mackinaw). Granby Lake can get up to 221 feet deep and has 40 miles of shoreline. Granby Lake is great for fishing, boating, waterskiing and picnicing and camping. It's beautiful, bluegreen waters are also home to the bald eagle and the Osprey as well as many elk, deer, and other wildlife.
